An intentionally designed workflow with clear and transparent pricing to make filing your tax returns as pain-free as possible. The process…

Discovery meeting (for new clients)

The first step to working together is to have a conversation to see what’s important to you, what services you’re looking for, and if my services align with that. We’ll each have a chance to decide if we’re a good fit to work with each other.

Provide your tax return (for new clients only)

Your prior year tax returns contain important information and is the starting point to making sure this year’s taxes are done correctly. It also provides me with the information needed in order to provide you with a quote based on your unique situation.

Review your Proposal, select a service, sign the Engagement letter, make your deposit* and schedule your appointment.

Clear and transparent pricing without any surprises! The Engagement Letter lays out exactly the services provided and what it costs - avoiding any frustrating surprise fees at the end of everything. Ever heard the “File your federal tax return with us for free.” only to get a surprise bill to file your state return. This avoids all that. You wouldn’t buy groceries or renovate your bathroom without knowing what it’s going to cost so why do most accounting offices do it?

*new clients are required to put 50% down in order schedule their appointment; after the first year & once established as a client, this no longer applies

And while all these steps may sound like a lot, it’s really not with modern technology.

Submit your documents

Submitting your tax documents ahead of time provides several benefits. First, if you forgot something, it gives me a chance to ask for it before your appointment and helps prevent delays. Second, I’m able to get the vast majority of the prep work done before your appointment. When you show up, we get to have a productive meeting without me frantically doing the prep work while you try to ask questions. This way, when you do ask those important questions, you’ll have my undivided attention.

Tax return review meeting

Something I prioritize is you having time to be able to ask questions. Your appointment time is focused on that. It also provides me time to ask my questions, review your return with you, point out any significant changes and the causes, how to protect yourself in case of an audit, and opportunities to lower taxes in the future.

Sign the e-file authorization forms and pay your balance

Once everything is finalized, sign the e-file authorization forms (we can’t file without them!) and pay the balance of your prep fee. From there, I will be able to e-file your tax returns and you’ll be all set for another year!
